Kids Helping Kids

Schools throughout the state make a huge impact on the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill by organizing service projects, volunteering at the House and organizing fundraisers. Teachers, student organizations and administrators come together to make a big difference in the lives of the children and families we serve.

Kids Helping Kids is a campaign to engage kids within the communities that we serve by partnering with schools throughout the state to offer service learning opportunities. The 2014-2015 school year will mark the sixth year of this annual campaign.  We put together a "toolkit" with information on ways your school and students can get involved with the House. If your school would like to receive a copy of the Kids Helping Kids "toolkit," please fill out the form below or contact Chase McBride, Special Events and Marketing Assistant.

Or you can download the toolkit here.

There are many ways your students and school can get involved with the House. They include:

  • Collecting soda pop tabs
  • Organizing a fundraising event
  • Coordinating a Wish List collection
  • Doing a coin drive
  • As an additional incentive, Ronald McDonald House Charities of NC will match 100% of funds raised by schools up to $10,000.  Every effort makes a great difference in the lives of the families we serve!
