Donate Now

Children heal faster and cope better when surrounded by the love of their families. Help us continue to provide a home-away-from-home for every family that knocks on our door by making a donation today.

Your Dollars at Work:

  • It costs an average of $85 per night to house a family.
  • Average daily electric bill for the House is $66.
  • Costs around $100/week to provide milk, orange juice, eggs, bread and sandwich meats for families.

Cash contributions are gratefully accepted and allow the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill to serve more than 2,200 families each year. You can make a donation via cash, check or credit card (Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover). All donations are tax deductible and will be acknowledged with a letter of receipt.

In Honor of In Memory

Donations to the House can be made in honor of, or in memory of someone special. If you wish, you can specify who you would like us to notify of your tribute when you make your donation. Click here to make a donation now.

Matching Gifts

Many companies have matching gift programs, making it one of the easiest ways to increase your support of the House. Just fill out your company's form and mail it in with your donation.

Gifts of Stock

The donor is not taxed on any gain in the property, and the donor may deduct fair market value of the gifted securities against other income (subject to certain limitations).

For more information on making a gift of stock, please contact Shelley Day or George Marut

Donate Your Old Vehicle

Thanks to Action Donation Services, you can donate your old car, truck, boat, RV or motorcycle and the proceeds will directly benefit the House. Click here to go to their website and learn more about their services. Simply follow the instructions to have a customer service representative contact you about your vehicle donation. They arrange to pick up your car, truck, boat, RV or motorcycle and then send a donation straight to the House. It's that easy!

In-Kind Donations

Non-monetary donations of goods and services are much appreciated at the House. Anything from toothpaste, to packs of crackers, to new children's toys is always needed and welcome. But don't be afriad to think outside the box. Donated airline miles allow loved ones to visit their families in times of need, and a pair of tickets to a local sporting event is a great way to allow parents to relax and recharge for the night.
