Community Groups Show Support for the House by Sporting Shirts on April 24

On Friday, April 24 members of the local community showed their support for the families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill by supporting the sixth annual, "Sport a Shirt, Share a Night."  

Why "Sport a Shirt, Share a Night?" Although it costs more than $60 per family per night to operate Ronald McDonald House, we ask each family to pay only $10. But for some families, even $10 is too much. This is an opportunity for members of our community to sponsor one family for one night at Ronald McDonald House. By purchasing and "sporting" one $10 t-shirt, each donor is "sharing a night" with a family in need.

The best part of this fundraiser is the benefit to those who need it most- the seriously ill and injured children who need their families close while receiving treatment at our area hospitals. The mission of Ronald McDonald House is to provide a "home away from home" for families of children who are receiving health care at area hospitals.  The House offers physical and emotional support through programs dedicated to the well being of the whole family.

Thank you to all of the organizations, individuals and companies that supported the 2009 campaign.  Thanks to your support, you have given over 1400 nights to families with seriously injured or ill children.
